🌍 Sustainable Style: Children Lead Festive Jumper Swap💚 Pre-Loved & Proud: A Climate-Friendly Christmas at St Peter’s 🌍
This week, our amazing Climate Crew led a fantastic Christmas Jumper Swap, showing how small changes can make a big difference for both the planet and our pockets.
Children brought in jumpers they no longer needed and received a token to swap for a different one – or chose to buy a pre-loved jumper for just £3. It was wonderful to see so many families supporting this sustainable idea, and even better that it was organised and run by the children themselves.
The event wasn’t just about festive fashion – it was about learning the value of reusing and reducing waste. As one child said: “It’s good for the Earth and good for saving money – and we still look Christmassy!”
A huge thank you to everyone involved in setting up and running this initiative. It’s a brilliant example of our school vision in action: Love, Learn, Shine – loving our world, learning about sustainability, and shining as responsible citizens.
We can’t wait to see everyone in their festive jumpers for Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas Lunch next Wednesday, 17th December.
