Makaton Club Weekly Update – A Festive Focus
This week in Makaton Club, the children have been learning signs linked to the Christmas season, including Christmas, Christmas tree, Christmas card and Christmas pudding. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they practised these festive signs together.
We were delighted to welcome two of our governors, Mrs Parker and Mrs Knott, alongside our external school adviser, who joined us to see the children shining in this element of their learning. They were impressed by the way all year groups came together to learn, creating a real sense of community and inclusion.
Our Makaton leaders then took these new signs back to their classes, sharing their knowledge so that every child across the school could join in. This is a fantastic example of our vision in action – Love, Learn, Shine – as children support one another and celebrate communication for all.
