๐Ÿž Mini-Beasts & Big Adventures: Wrens Explore the Outdoors

Wrens have been busy exploring the brand-new flooring in our much-loved mud kitchen today! This little corner of nature, right in the heart of Harrogate, is a true blessing for our children. Our dedicated Early Years outdoor space is designed with different zones to spark curiosity and creativity, including a beautiful natural zone filled with shade plants, trees, logs, and plenty of opportunities to connect with the world around them.
Children have been building friendships, observing mini-beasts, and engaging in imaginative play all while surrounded by the calming influence of nature. Research shows that time spent in natural environments supports well-being, resilience, and creativity, helping children to develop problem-solving skills and a sense of wonder. Itโ€™s not just playย  itโ€™s learning in its most joyful form.

Mrs Renton shared, โ€œThe children love having the freedom to explore and discover. Itโ€™s amazing to see their confidence grow as they interact with nature.โ€

Mrs Ward added, โ€œOur outdoor spaces give children the chance to shine in ways that the classroom canโ€™t always offer. They learn so much from these experiences โ€“ about the world, about each other, and about themselves.โ€

At St Peterโ€™s, we believe in our vision to Love, Learn, Shine, and today Wrens truly embodied that โ€“ loving their environment, learning through exploration, and shining with excitement and curiosity.
