Welcome to the St. Peter’s Maths Zone

The resources below are designed to help parents support their children with learning mathematics. There are some really useful links and documents for you to explore.

We have just launched a brand new Calculation Policy in school which is supported by a Calculation Guidance document. At St. Peter’s we follow a Mastery Curriculum designed to enable the children to gain a deep, long-term and secure understanding of the subject. To find out more about how we teach maths at St. Peter’s, please click on the Mastering Mathematics link below.

Instant recall is a key part of learning mathematics. It gives children a bank of knowledge from which they can draw to help them when working on maths in a range of situations. This is an 11 stage programme which has been designed to progress your child through a number of key instant recall targets.
